The Office of the Higher Education Commission, in cooperation with the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna and the College of Music, Mahidol University are organizing a Master Class and Lecture in Voice and Piano Accompaniment 2019 from 4 – 8 February 2019 at the College of Music, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus. The Master Class 2019 will be conducted by Prof. Georgia Michaelides, professor of voice (Soprano), and Ms. Megumi Mizuguchi (also known by her artist name “Megumi Otsuka”), accompanist and vocal coach for singers. Both are from the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, Austria.
There is no registration fee. Lunch and snacks will be provided every day for the participants. After completion of the masterclass, only the students who have on a daily basis attended the class will receive certificates. Those who have demonstrated good performance throughout the masterclass will be chosen to perform at a final concert on the last day (Friday, 8 February 2019).
Applications are selected on a first-come, first-served basis, and primarily reserved for students who have never attended a Master Class before. The maximum number of voice and piano students are 12 and 6, respectively. Please be noted that participants, both voice and piano students, are required to know at least 3-5 songs by heart before applying.
